Liz Campbell came to Canada via Burma (now Myanmar), India, and England. She taught for two years with CUSO, a volunteer organization) in Tabora, Tanzania, and spent six months in Porto Alegre, Brazil with her husband who was doing research there. Campbell has been a freelance travel and food writer for more than 20 years with stories published in newspapers and magazines such as The Globe & Mail, Zoomer, Foodservice & Hospitality magazine, and more.  For ten years she was the editor of The Foodservice Consultant, a global business magazine for the foodservice industry.  She also served as editor at both Forever Young and City Parent, two Canadian newsmagazines.

An active member of both the Travel Media Association of Canada (TMAC) and the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), she has won both travel and food writing awards.
